This site also provides information on the anthem, flag, and national symbols of India. The national bird is the peacock. Once hunted, they are now a protected species. The national fruit is the mango, and the national tree is the banyan. India's saffron, green, and white flag features a central Dharma Chakra, known as the wheel of law.

India Horizons - In 1997, India celebrated its 50th year of independence. On this interractive AT&T site you can send a free cybercard to a friend--choose from all sorts of Indian designs for your card. Visit an art gallery featuring Indian artists, or try some Indian recipes. You can even enjoy the top 25 Hindi movie songs or try the Shockwave games in the Kids' section.

M.K. Gandhi Institute for Nonviolence - Mohandas K. Gandhi was a great leader of India who believed in nonviolence. His family has formed the Gandhi Institute to carry on his beliefs.
