Family Time That Matters:
Volunteering for the Great American Cleanup
|
Chase away the winter blues this spring by volunteering your family for the
Keep America Beautiful Great American Cleanup. With a little elbow grease
and a lot of inspiration, you can put a shine on your community and teach
your kids a valuable lesson in personal responsibility.
The Great American Cleanup, held March - May, is the country's largest
grassroots beautification, litter prevention and community improvement
event. Each spring people join forces to pick up, plant, paint and recycle
- whatever it takes to improve the quality of life in their local communities.
Volunteering is free and the quality time with your kids is priceless!
Here are some examples of Great American Cleanup activities that families
can take part in. Some of them may be happening near you.
