AirNav: Airport Information - Type in the three-letter airport code for the U.S. airport you want, and you'll get detailed information back. If you don't know the code, you can just type in the name of the nearest city. You can try to look for nearby balloonports, gliderports, heliports, seaplane bases-- pretty much everything but a starship dock! You'll get back a map of the airport, its radio frequencies, runway descriptions, yearly traffic statistics, and more, including a list of obstructions in the general area, such as tall radio towers or buildings. You'll also find out if migratory birds or animals are sometimes on the runways. Additionally, there are links to other pages about some of the airports.

A recent peek revealed these articles: "Out of the Woods: Camp Crafts to Make at Home," "Preparing for Kindergarten: What Your Preschooler Needs to Know," and lots more. Besides this, you can Go Local for links to parenting news in your city or state. We were able to find out about this week's family activities in our town. Coverage is currently limited to the U.S. and its territories, Canada, and Australia.

Ghosts in the Castle - Wouldn't it be neat to live in a castle? Here's your chance to explore one built in Britain in the 1300s. We took the tour and met a lot of really neat people who are there to protect us, the castle owners. James, the archer, was one. He claims to be able to shoot a steel-tipped arrow more than 100 yards! With a few carefully placed clicks of your mouse on the mouse wandering around on the screen, you will be transported through this marvelous place. Watch for the ghosts, though. Now we're heading back to see what Peter the Jester has up his sleeve.

Of course, since it's for tourists, there's even information on getting there, attractions, events, and travelers' reports. All this adds up to some of the best stuff for reports and homework assignments, not to mention interesting reading for that virtual trip.
