Gifted and Talented (TAG) Resources - Being gifted is being blessed--it means having special talents beyond the average. While being gifted is good, it can also lead to complications. Sometimes school can be boring and unchallenging for gifted kids, and finding other kids who share the same interests can be difficult. The Internet offers a way for gifted children to explore the world in a challenging environment and to find other kids with similar gifts; this is a good place to find information on how to accomplish this.
Gifted Development Center - GDC serves parents, schools, and advocacy groups with information about identification, assessment, counseling, learning styles, programs, presentations, and resources for gifted children and adults.
GT World - GT World Home--A place for families dealing with the complexities of raising intellectually gifted and talented children.
Hoagies' Gifted Education Page - This exciting site contains links to gifted education resources all over the world, carefully annotated and organized into content areas including academic acceleration, gifted learning disabled, profoundly gifted, educational theories, and lots more. In addition, you can find resources for our kids, including magazines, software, web links and books, plus first hand success stories by the parents of gifted kids. International lists of organizations and conferences, too. Check it out!
Kidsource Online-Gifted and Talented Students - When a child is gifted or talented, their parents and educators are faced with many issues and challenges. These articles and digests provide ideas, guidance and activities for both parents and educators of gifted students. While some of these articles are written specifically for educators, they can also benefit parents who are seeking to create or influence a program for their children.
National Association for Gifted Children - The National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC) is an organization of parents, educators, other professionals and community leaders who unite to address the unique needs of children and youth with demonstrated gifts and talents as well as those children who may be able to develop their talent potential with appropriate educational experiences.
TAGFAM - Talented and Gifted Families - TAGFAM is an Internet support group for families of talented and gifted children. There are five active mailing lists and the website provides a wide variety of supporting and reference information. There are listserves for families, teens and kids. Visit the website to learn more about giftedness and then be sure to sign up for one of their very active mailing lists. It will be of great value to you and your family.
