Africa South of the Sahara - This site specializes in collecting Web pages related to the countries of south and central Africa. Sites are grouped by both country and region. Buganda - Buganda is a large region in the southern part of Uganda, comprising most of Uganda's shoreline on Lake Victoria. The people of Buganda are known as Baganda, and they are the largest of Uganda's 40 different ethnic groups. Within the Baganda are 46 different clans officially recognized by the government. According to this site, "a clan represents a group of people who can trace their lineage to a common ancestor in some distant past."
