Aruba - Original Official Travel Guide - Aruba is a small, desertlike island just off the coast of Venezuela. Aruba is part of the Dutch realm. Formerly part of the Netherlands Antilles, Aruba was on its way to independence. However, in 1990, Aruba requested and received cancellation of the Netherlands' agreement to give independence to the island in 1996. Aruba's official language is Dutch. Its 85-degree weather and white sand beaches make it a favorite vacation spot. If you like sailing, scuba diving, or windsurfing, you'll love Aruba.

ConventionBureaus.com - ConventionBureaus.com is a directory of official Convention Bureau and National Tourist Office websites around the globe. ConventionBureaus.com allows meeting professionals to find information for planning their corporate meetings, conferences, conventions and tradeshows in any locality worldwide.

Embassy of Uruguay in Washington, D.C - Discovered by the Spanish in 1516, it was a century later before colonization gained a foothold. This was partially because of strong resistance from the natives, and partially a lack of interest in colonization due to the fact that precious metals had not been discovered. Look for more historical facts here along with information on geography, culture, recipes, tourist tips, and even some tips on how to speak to a Uruguayan: "Never say, `I am an American.' Uruguayans are Americans, too."

Faroe Islands Travel Guide - The Faroe Islanders have home rule, but they are part of the kingdom of Denmark. In the summer, the sun never sets for three months! It gets low on the horizon, but it doesn't set. Photos of the villages are one of the best parts of this site, and they're picturesque. Many of the buildings have colorful roofs and siding. The green hills will entice you to hike around. Some footpaths are from olden times, before roads were built, but be sure to take a raincoat. It's foggy and drizzly there much of the time. The map is in the Around the Islands section.

GoPoland! - This travel guide contains a history about the country in addition to individual histories on 11 (when we last checked) different Polish cities and towns. Find brief descriptions on local sights, museums, galleries, and more here for each location.

International Road Signs - OK, you and your folks have a great trip planned in Europe. That's great, but the adults on your trip insist on a road trip, and they want to do their own driving. Problem is, the rules of the road in European countries are different from those in North America: signs are different, traffic lights vary, and so on. That's where this site comes to the rescue. Show your folks this page so they'll know how to turn, when to stop, and, most important, get you safely to all the fun places you want to see.

Official Guide to Northern Ireland - Welcome to the official site for US travel to Northern Ireland, produced by the Northern Ireland Tourist Board. This site has been created especially for you, the American traveler. Here you will find everything you need to know about visiting Northern Ireland. How to get there, where to stay, what to eat, see and do ...... You name it they've got it.

Official Guide to Saint Lucia - Part of the Lesser Antilles, Saint Lucia has the Atlantic Ocean lapping at its eastern shores, while its western beaches touch the Caribbean Sea. The terrain includes rain forests and volcanoes. There's much to celebrate in Saint Lucia--they have Independence Day in February, Emancipation Day in August, and National Day in December. This island is truly multicultural: A visitor can drive on the British (left) side of the road to a French town for an Indian meal. And, although French was outlawed by the British in the nineteenth century, Creole patois is commonly spoken. According to this page, Saint Lucia is the site of the world's only drive-in volcanic crater (Diamond Head on Oahu may make a similar claim).

Rough Guides To Travel - Publishers of the hugely popular travel books, the site reproduces much of their print content as well as more up-to-date info. It’s a great way to get a thumbnail view of a travel destination, along with links for further information.
