I receive mail regularly from readers looking for certain types of websites such as teen and grandparent sites. It was really a thrill for me to feature this particular website devoted entirely to grandparents. The difficulty will be in deciding where to start.

The igrandparents site is appealing in its ease of use. So even those new to the Internet can find their way around. Signing up for the Chat and Message boards is mandatory for those who would like to meet other grandparents and talk about things OTHER than the grandkids. (Probably not much activity there. I mean, don't ALL grandparents live for the kids?) I had to register to check out the boards. The chat rooms were empty but the Message Boards had bunches of postings. The Tough Subjects board had almost 300 postings. There were so many different topics. I thought there would only be two subjects, "My grandkids are adorable" and "My friend thinks her grandkids are adorable (they are not), what do I do?" All joking aside, there is some really helpful advice here.

The ideas of what to do with the kids are plentiful here. There are print outs, games and arts and crafts to do with the children. My personal favorites are the Outing and Movie Reviews pages. Kids movies are not as innocent as they used to be so be sure to check out the ratings before heading to the video store.

Of course the information for the adults is massive here. Finance, Travel, Technology etc. There is even helpful advice for childproofing the house before the baby comes over. This is truly a GREAT site. I like the fact that they are addressing the needs of modern grandparents. Forward this website address to your folks. They'll thank you for it. Until next time.
