Outlined below are the settings your PC should have after successfully registering for FamilyClick. To verify your settings,your browser window, select Tools, Internet Options, the following window should be displayed:

Click on the Connections tab. The Connections tab of the Internet Options window should have a FamilyClick Dial up connection. (Depending on how many ISP's you have installed you may see several dial up settings.) The Connections tab is displayed below:

The following should be set on the Connections tab:

• Always dial my default connection should be selected.
• FamilyClick should be your default connection (it will say default next to FamilyClick). If it's not your default connection, highlight FamilyClick (click on it) in the Dial-up settings window and click on Set Default.

If your FamilyClick connection is not already highlighted select it from your Dial-Up Settings window.

Click on the Settings button. The following screen should be displayed.

The FamilyClick Settings screen should have the following settings:

In the Automatic Configuration section:

• Automatically detect settings should be selected.
• Use automatic configuration script should be selected.
• In the address field should be http://adm1./auto/pconfig.pac or http://go./go.pac

In the Dial-Up Settings section:

• User name: Your FamilyClick user name should be entered with a prefix of cl/ and a suffix of . For example, cl/username.
• Password:The password for your account should be entered here.

From the Dial-Up Settings section of the FamilyClick Settings window, click on Properties. The following window should be displayed:

The following settings should be entered:

• Type of Dial-Up Server will be set depending on your operating system.
• Enable software compression should be selected.
• TCP/IP should be selected as the Allowed network protocols.

Click on the TCP/IP Settings... button. The following window should be displayed:

These values should be set as follows:

• Server assigned IP address should be selected.
• Specify name server addresses should be selected.
• Primary DNS: should have the values
• Secondary DNS: should have the values
• Primary WINS: should have the values 0.0.0.0
• Secondary WINS: should have the values 0.0.0.0
• Use IP header compression should be selected.
• Use default gateway on remote network should be selected.
