American Society for Deaf Children - ASDC is a national organization of families and professionals committed to educating, empowering and supporting parents and families to create opportunities for their children who are deaf and hard of hearing in gaining meaningful and full communication access, in their home, school and community.
CODA - Children of Deaf Adults - CODA, which stands for Children of Deaf Adults, is a non-profit organization for the adult hearing sons and daughters of deaf parents. The organization began in 1983 and has grown to include people from many different countries and very different family and extended family situations.
Deaf World Web - This site includes lots of news and resources for persons with hearing disabilities. Look through the Deaf Encyclopedia and the American Sign Language Dictionary. There's also a Deaf Kids section where kids can find a pen pal, submit a story, picture, or poem, or join the discussion forum.
Hearing Alliance Of America - This site has information about hearing loss and has special reports available about "How To Buy..." hearing aids and "How To Live..." with hearing aids.
Sounds of Silence - What is it like to be deaf in a world of hearing people? Find out at this Web page, which tries to give insight into the world of the deaf and the deaf community. How do deaf kids watch TV? How do deaf adults drive cars? Don't miss the poem in which you may find out "What it's like to `hear' a hand." This site was created by students for the ThinkQuest competition.
Where do we go from Hear? - This web site is dedicated to being the best source of information for families of infants and children diagnosed with a hearing loss and the professionals who work with these individuals. We hope this resource will answer many of the questions you may have.
