Bobby McFerrin - Maybe he's not really a children's musician, but kids are fascinated by Bobby McFerrin, the "Don't Worry-- Be Happy" recording artist. Judy and David - This Canadian duo started performing in 1993. Are they the next Raffi(s)? Time will tell. In the meantime, they've put together a sweet home page. If you are in the audience when Judy and David perform, you'll find that every song they sing also has a part for you. Their online presence is similar. The Online Songbook includes the words of traditional children's songs and their original songs as well. There are suggested hand motions, activities, and more; so after you sing "Alice the Camel," go to the coloring page, print out a picture of her, and color her to your liking.

Mozart's Magical Musical Life - What if your parents named you Johannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Theophillus Amadeus Mozart? Can you imagine writing that on the top of your paper in school? This great story, complete with audio clips, tells about "Wolfie," or Mozart as we know him today. Wolfie had a sister named Nannerl and a dog named Bimperl. Red Grammer - Red Grammer is a wonderful songwriter and singer who travels all across the country performing at schools and in concert. He and his wife, Kathy, have written a lot of great tunes, including "Teaching Peace." It won a Classic Children's Audio Recording Award from Parents' Choice, an award few albums ever achieve. The All Music Guide declared "Teaching Peace" to be one of the top five children's recordings of all time. You can listen to some of Red's songs (click on the jukebox), learn movements to his songs, and see if he's coming to your school.
The Symphony: An Interactive Guide - Learn about almost 20 different composers of symphonies at this slick site. It offers access by composer name and country. Why did so many famous composers come from Germany and Austria? You can also explore a 200-year long time line in the development of the symphonic form. What's the "symphonic form"? It's all explained here, from the sonata in the first movement, to the scherzos in the second and third movements, to the rondo in the fourth. Listen to all styles of music by teens: classical, rock, funk, reggae, and more. If you compose your own tunes, read how you can submit them to this online library. There is also a chat room, and if you're good at recognizing musical themes, try playing Music Match. Listen to the music and see if you can identify the composer.
