Adopt a Cyber Mascot - Lots of people seem to like to "adopt" a Web page mascot or guardian. This site will tell you the etiquette involved in adopting a cute animated graphic for your own pages. If you visit the My Own Cyberpets link at the bottom, you can find other sites from which you can adopt angels, fairies, unicorns, cows, and more. Be sure to read the CyberPet Netiquette section, too.

Mousepad Fun 'n' Games - This site offers an advent calendar, adopt a virtual reindeer, country clipart, cyber pets, and even cyber mouse adoption.

Netfysh - Instant Pets on the Internet - Which one is better: the little horseshoe crablike Triops, or the ever popular brine shrimplike Sea-Monkey ? Compare and contrast these weird little creatures and decide for yourself. Here at Pollywood Farm we did raise a nice flock of Triops about a year back. They were a whole lot of fun, so now we're going to try some Sea-Monkeys, too.

SwineOnline - Now don't get too attached to your little virtual piglet. You only have about a week to raise him to a hog, and at the end of the week, well, he'll either win a ribbon or wind up as pork chops. Think of this more as a game of luck, strategy, and fun. Can you beat out the other farmers and get high score of the week? Be sure to take really good care of your pig (he'll e-mail you if he's not happy). New games start every Friday.

Virtual Dog - This is a neat adventure game you'll have to play for days. You adopt a virtual dog at the pound (you have to give your e-mail address). Take him "home" (oops, don't forget to buy dog food), and get some advice from the vet (go back and buy that chew toy). As days pass, will you become a super owner or will your pup run away? If you can't visit "home" for a few days, put your pooch in the kennel until you can play again.
