Official site of the International Olympic Committee - Where are the next Olympics? Discover that and more here! The IOC is an international non-governmental non-profit organization and the creator of the Olympic Movement. The IOC exists to serve as an umbrella organization of the Olympic Movement. It owns all rights to the Olympic symbols, flag, motto, anthem and Olympic Games. Its primary responsibility is to supervise the organization of the summer and winter Olympic Games.

Olympic Movement - Le Mouvement Olympique - Here is the official site for the Olympics, where you can explore the past, present, and future of the games. When new Olympic cities are announced, you can read news and updates here first. Just look in the Olympic Museum area and click on Future. There is lots of information on the Sydney games of 2000, the Salt Lake City games of 2002, and the 2004 Summer Games in Athens, Greece. You can keep track of progress in all of them through the Olympic.org page.

Salt Lake Organizing Committee for the Olympic Winter Games of 2002 - The XIX Olympic Winter Games will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah, February 8-22, 2002. This site gives information on where the events will be held and where the Olympic Village will be located. If you live in the Salt Lake City area, there is information on how to join the volunteer program for the 2002 Olympics.

Special Olympics International - "Let me win, but if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt." This is the oath of the Special Olympics. What great inspiration this is for all athletes, not just "special" kids with mental retardation challenges! The first International Special Olympic Games was held in 1968, at Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois. It was organized by Eunice Kennedy Shriver. Since then, the Special Olympics have become the world's largest year-round program of physical fitness, sports training, and athletic competition. In the U.S., games at the local and chapter levels are held every year, with special summer and winter events held every four years.

The Ancient Olympics - When you think of the Olympics, chances are you picture lots of brightly colored uniforms, and men and women competing in a lot of different events. Well, the ancient Olympics were much different. There were fewer events, and only free men who spoke Greek could compete, instead of athletes from any country. Also, the games were always held at Olympia instead of moving around to different sites every time. This site tells you a lot about all of the Olympics and has very interesting information.

USA Softball 2000 Olympic Games - Features an Olympics roster, a schedule, related links and collectibles for sale.
