Making Lemonade - Making Lemonade is a single parent community for single parents of all kinds. Created by Jody Seidler, a single mother with a sense of humor, it is THE single parenting portal on the internet. On the site you'll find articles, links, poetry, write-in stories for children and adults, topics-driven links and a strong interactive/community section.
Parenting Matters - This site supports the parenting theory of "how reward and punishment as a disciplinary technique can be replaced by limited choices and `natural and logical consequences.'" Everyone's trying to have a role in life, and if kids feel powerless, there can be problems. As this site puts it: "If they can't `count' in a positive way, a negative way will do." Learn how to short-circuit misbehavior by trying some of the techniques described here for both parents and grandparents.
Parents Without Partners - Whether you have never married, are separated, divorced, or widowed, there's one thing for sure: you love your kids and want to be the best single parent you can be! If you are already a member, you can join the chat and discussion areas to meet other single parents and share ideas and friendship. Not yet a member? Single Rose: Resource for Single Mothers - Single Rose has many highly respected columnists, who each bring their own expertise to the newsletter. You'll find information on education, tough youth issues, handy-man tips, including taking care of your car; along with monthly articles written by the readers themselves.
