All About Swimming - Ms. Daizy's beginner's tips for swimming really make a splash. Be sure to dive in and learn the moves, the breathing, and most of all the water and pool safety rules you need to know. There is also information on synchronized swimming.

Let's Go Surfing! - No one knows who first thought of surfing, but at this site you can learn quite a bit about its early history and lore. In the early days of Hawaiian surfing, boards for royalty were different from those for commoners. And specific beaches were reserved for the royal family's sole use. Aren't you glad it's not like that today? At this site you can learn about different types of surfboards and how they are made, as well as learn a little about wave mechanics. This site was created by students for the ThinkQuest Junior competition.

Swimkids - Hey! , that is. ChEveryone into the pool! The KidPooleck out feature stories on young kids who are breaking all kinds of swimming records. You can read chat transcripts with some of them, and participate in upcoming chats by looking at the schedule and participating.

Swimnews Online - Do you swim? We're not talking about an occasional wade through the baby pool. We're talking about competitive swimming. You know: pruny looking fingers, webbed toes, red eyes, and gills. If that's you, then you need to see this online magazine. Virtually every major swim meet in the world is here, and the results are updated regularly. You'll find features on the world's best swimmers, and all the world records are here, too. Links? You bet. This is the diving platform for your lane.

YMCA Scuba - Scuba diving can be a wonderful, lifelong hobby, but you need to take lessons from an expert first. Where can you find an expert? Many times you can visit your local YMCA. They offer courses in everything from safe snorkeling to dive master. How old do you have to be? "In order to take a YMCA SCUBA certification course, individuals must be 15 years of age or older. Children ages 12-14 may earn the JuniorWater Diver certification that requires them to dive with an adult diver." Discover more by getting your feet wet here.
